A high achieving, newly built primary school in Greenwich are looking to appoint a talented class teacher to join their strong and committed team.
Applicants must have a minimum of two years' experience teaching a KS2 class with an excellent understanding of the national curriculum. Due to the nature of this role only applications from QTS holders are being considered.
This role is ongoing until the end of the year. ALL applicants must be seeking long term work and be available to start immediately. There is a strong possibility that this role will become permanent from January 2018.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a large well behaved year 5 class of 25 children. Previous SATS experience is essential as you will be required to engage in revision classes and SATs focused lesson planning. The children are currently preparing for their end of year exams which will be taking place during the last week of May.
In return the school is offering an extremely generous daily rate and is willing to negotiate a generous salary package if the role becomes permanent. The school consists of a very supportive senior leadership team, varied CPD opportunities and excellent ICT provision to assist with lessons within the classroom. You will have a TA appointed to the class to help within classes on a daily basis.
The school is located within walking distance of a local underground station, there is also onsite parking facilities available.
To be considered for this role you must:
-Have a minimum of a year experience teaching in KS2
-Have an excellent understanding of the national curriculum
-Have excellent behaviour management skills
-Have recognised qualification in education - (PGCE,QTS)
-Have a valid DBS or the willingness to apply for one ASAP
