This role is scheduled to start immediately. It is a temporary contract until the end of the year. As this role is scheduled to start ASAP all applicants must be available on an immediate start basis. Applicants with notices longer than two weeks will not be considered. Both applicants who are newly qualified teachers of QTS holders are welcome to apply.
The school is based in Essex and has an on site car park for should you wish to drive in. The school is also located within a short walking distant from a main over ground station.
The school is a big part of the community, engaging in out of school activities including cake bake sales, summer fates and a Christmas wonderland fair for local charities. The view is to bring the community closer together with the school and its children at the heart of it. The school works hard to maintain a close and honest relationship with the parents and families of all the children.
The school has received 'outstanding' in the last 3 Ofsted reports.
The class you will be required to teach is a large year 4 class consisting of 22 children. The curriculum is rich, including both academic subjects such as Maths English and Science and the creative arts such as Drama, Art and cooking.
There is a huge outdoor space available to all classes allowing the teachers to plan out door interactive lessons. This further allows the children to engage in outside learning during the summer to motivate them and to increase their learning potential.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is interested in gaining experience within a primary school. Someone who is looking for a role that is starting off short term but has the potential to become long term and even permanent.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of a years experience teaching a UK school. Its is essential that you have a good understanding of the national curriculum. You will need to have good time management, a good work ethic and the ability to organise creative, motivating and engaging lessons for the children on a daily basis.
ALL applicants must have a valid DBS or the willingness to apply for one. It is also essential that you are able to provide proof of a right to work in the UK.
