This role is scheduled to start straight after Easter. It is a temporary contract until the end of the academic year. This role and the successful applicant will be reviewed at the end of the school year for a possible extension to the end of the year.
The school is based in East London. It has an on site car park for any one who prefers private transport. The school is also located within a short walk from the nearest station. The school is a big part of the community and believes in creating and maintaining honest relationships with all the children's families. The school is a mixed school with children from all different backgrounds and religious beliefs. The school promotes diversity and works hard to create a welcoming environment.
The class you will be required to teach is a large year 4 class consisting of 28 children. As this role is scheduled to start in the last school term the head teacher understands that this may create a more hectic environment than usual therefore she has appointed a teaching assistant to work with the class 3 days a week. The schools offers a lot of support for its teachers. There is constant opportunity to voice your opinions as there are teacher meeting fortnightly.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is interested in gaining experience within a primary school. Someone who is looking for a role that starts of short term but has the potential to become long term and even permanent.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of a years experience teaching a UK school. It is essential that you have a good understanding of the national curriculum. You will need to have good time management, a good work ethic and the ability to organise creative, motivating and engaging lessons for the children on a daily basis.
ALL applicants must have a valid DBS or the willingness to apply for one. It is also essential that you are able to provide proof of a right to work in the UK.
