Job Description

Are you an experienced English Teacher who has the confidence to hit the ground running?

A year long position, covering maternity leave has arisen in one of our North London schools, starting in October and extending at least until summer 2018? Then please contact us now.

The English subject area is very well resourced, with a London-wide reputation for excellence, driven in part by the richness and diversity of the Inner London Communities which it's students reflect. All students are prepared for GCSE English and GCSE English Literature and the English department works closely with a flourishing Media department with many cross curricular links between the two.

The school lies within the heart of what is without doubt a district that is one of the hubs for drama, literature, fashion, creativity and music in London.

The school itself is on a journey of continual improvement, with steadily more favourable OFSTED reports.

* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
* You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

It is A* Star Teachers' policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days. However, due to the volume of applications, we are sometimes unable to respond to each applicant individually. If we have not contacted you within three working days, your application has been unsuccessful and your details have not been retained. Please apply for any other position that you may feel suitable for in the future.
