Job Description

Sociology Teacher (to A Level KS5) required for a flourishing mixed comprehensive high school in Hammersmith and Fulham, with a fine record of student achievement.

Last year 73% of students gained 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE, and the school achieves excellent value added. The school's latest OFSTED inspection judged the school to be outstanding and commented "Students enjoy learning and take tremendous pride in their school".

The school provides state of the art facilities for all subject areas. The ability to teach Sociology to A Level standard is imperative.

Applicants should be keenly interested in how children learn, committed to equal opportunities and to a collaborative approach at both departmental and whole school levels.

Candidates must:

* be familiar with the National Curriculum or similar curriculum from overseas
* be seeking long-term, permanent or daily work
* have the right to work in the UK
* have recognised teaching qualifications
* have at least two educational references
* have an overseas police check (if applicable)
* have a current DBS or willingness to undertake one
