Job Description

A Star Teachers are an established agency run by former Teachers; small enough to deliver a personalised service and big enough to cover all schools across all sectors in London. Right now we simply do not have enough Computing Teachers to meet demand; we have more short, long and permanent vacancies in the subject across London than we have suitable teachers.
Our clients range from Mainstream to Independent to SEN, and locations from Inner London to the Leafy Outer suburbs and Home Counties.

As a Teacher of Computing and Computer Science you will already know that your skills are in high demand - curriculum changes have placed a huge emphasis on the programming, coding and hardware aspects of the subject rather than the traditional spread sheets / data base focus of ICT. Likewise the ability to forge cross curricular links across Schools be they STEM based or through the use of interactive Media Production is of huge interest to our clients.

If your PGCE specialism is a different subject but you can evidence success in raising attainment of Key Stage Three, Four and Five Computing over a long period of time, backed by superb subject knowledge and outstanding references then we would still be interested to talk to you.

If you have some or all of the above as well as formal UK QTS Status then call us. Now.

We pay top rates for shortage subjects, and will always pay to scale for long term assignments.

* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
* You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.

It is A* Star Teachers' policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days. However, due to the volume of applications, we are sometimes unable to respond to each applicant individually. If we have not contacted you within three working days, your application has been unsuccessful and your details have not been retained. Please apply for any other position that you may feel suitable for in the future. A* Star Teachers is a Quality Marked Agency (continuously since 2002) and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
