Full time Maths Teacher required in Hertfordshire, September start

A Star Teachers recruiting an enthusiastic, innovative and well qualified teacher of Mathematics to join our client school in Hertfordshire. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be committed to using a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. The school highly values CPD and the appointed person will have the opportunity to access appropriate training and support.

Our client is a high achieving all-ability school serving the local community with 1082 students on roll, including 260 in the Sixth Form. In June 2013 they received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted.
The school occupies a pleasant site on the top of Windmill Hill with its own playing fields and woods. As well as general classrooms, they have specialist teaching areas for Art and Design, Food, Textiles, Graphics and Resistant Materials, ICT and Business Technology, Drama, Mathematics, Music and Science.

It is is a designated Specialist Science College, and hold the Sportsmark, Silver Artsmark, ICT Mark, Secondary Geography Quality Mark with centre of excellence status , Healthy Schools and School Achievement awards. In 2006 we won the Healthy Schools Award in the Eastern Region Teaching Awards and in 2007 were awarded the Careers Education and Guidance Quality Award by Connexions Hertfordshire. As a good school with outstanding features, we converted to academy status in August 2011.

GCSE examination results are consistently high and the school is among the top performing state schools in Hertfordshire. Students are encouraged to participate, enjoy and achieve outside the classroom by taking part in sporting activities, music, clubs and societies or any of the other educational, social, recreational and international opportunities on offer. There are also many opportunities for them to make a positive contribution to the school community, through charity work, the House system and various other voluntary schemes.
