Our client school in the heart of Central London urgently requires a teacher of Geography. A Humanities specialist will also be considered. The vacancy has arisen due to the current teacher having to take time-off immediately for family reasons.
This is an outstanding independent school in which students achieve the very best academic success across both GCSE and A-Level. It is located close to Knightsbridge in what is universally considered the more affluent part of London. The school is a 5 minute walk from the Piccadilly Line
Rather than encountering behaviour management issues as is often the case with London secondary schools this school "is all about the teaching and learning" (Head Teacher, 2018)
The Head Teacher is looking to appoint a practitioner with a proved track record delivering the Geography/Humanities syllabus at GCSE but particularly at AS and A2 level.
The advantage to working in this setting for a teacher include
*Small class sizes of highly motivated and equally capable students
*Outstanding resources to choose from in order to offer exciting and though-provoking classes
*Subject teachers have no pastoral responsibilities and can also stay off-site when off the teaching timetable
*A highly capable administrative team to support teachers in all aspects of their preparation.
*The opportunity to continue at the school from September 2018 in a permanent capacity
*A salary structure which is negotiable rather than in-line with the national payscale for teachers. Ability and results are therefore acknowledged financially.
The school expects:
*First-class teaching and professionalism
*Results are a huge "must" given the school fees that parents from around the world are paying
We urge all suitable candidates to contact Spencer or Ken at the earliest opportunity. email@example.com / 0207 272 70 70
Due to the immediate nature of the vacancy all candidates will need meet the school's and our agency compliance standards (Updated DBS will therefore be essential)
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
* You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
