This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Science Department specialising in KS3, KS4 and KS5 in a highly successful inner-city Academy. The school specialises in Maths and Technology and is committed to imagination and creativity in teaching and learning.
You would be working in a supportive department with a range of very experienced and highly effective teachers. You will be expected to teach Science across all keystages. You will be given extensive support and access to training within the school, because the school is committed to developing staff.
Whatever your experience, we would expect you to be a passionate and imaginative individual, have a motivational student centred approach to teaching. Your lessons will be proactive, fun, appealing to student's sense of curiosity with an activity based approach to Science teaching.
Candidates must:
* be familiar with the National Curriculum or similar curriculum from overseas
* be seeking long-term, permanent or daily work
* have the right to work in the UK
* have recognised teaching qualifications
* have at least two educational references
* have an overseas police check (if applicable)
* have a current CRB or willingness to undertake one
